Survey for Feasibility
A relatively modern house was surveyed and assessed for modern day luxury occupation and extension. Whilst the house offered good accomodation, there were many limitations, particularly with regard to its upward and sideways extension.
The house occupied a large plot and does not maximise its potential. The factory made roof trusses prevented easy conversion and a new roof with more headroom and natural light via dormer windows was designed.
The garaging would be improved and a large basement, ground and first floor extension would replace the single storey side extension.
After VAT considerations, the cost of a new house would be the same as that of a substantial refurbishment and would offer more up to date accommodation and would add more value.
